Our Lady Immaculate and St Cuthbert's RC Church - Crook

Our Lady Immaculate and St Cuthbert’s Church, located in the heart of Crook, is a remarkable example of Gothic Revival architecture, designed by the notable Edward Welby Pugin. Built in 1853 with its tower completed in 1897, this Grade II listed church stands as a symbol of religious devotion and architectural beauty in the community. The church features intricate stained glass windows, Decorated Gothic tracery, and a grand tower adorned with pinnacles and gargoyles.

Through aerial footage, I captured the stunning architectural lines of the church, perched on Church Hill, offering a unique perspective of its grandeur within the surrounding landscape. Ground-level photography highlights the detailed stonework and the church’s tranquil interior, including the altar and beautiful Gothic tracery. This project serves to celebrate the enduring spiritual and architectural significance of Our Lady Immaculate and St Cuthbert's Church in the rich historical fabric of Crook.
